The Vortex Bar & Grill, the popular burger spot in Little Five Points, failed its most recent health inspection.
The Sept. 25 inspection — the Vortex scrored a "U" for unsatisfactory — noted 16 violations including three serious ones known for being risk factors in foodborne illnesses:
- No bare hand contact with ready-to-eat foods or approved alternate method properly followed
- Proper eating, tasting, drinking, or tobacco use
- Adequate handwashing facilities supplied & accessible
