Grindhouse Killer Burgers To Franchise Sweet Auburn Location

Owner wants to focus full-time on Piedmont Avenue restaurant

The owner of plans to franchise the restaurant outlet he owns at the Sweet Auburn Curb Market.

Alex Brounstein, who founded the restaurant in September of 2009, said the larger Grindhouse he later opened on Piedmont is taking up most of his time.

The Piedmont location is open for lunch and dinner while the Sweet Auburn restaurant is open just for lunch.

"I can't spend enough time over there," Brounstein told East Atlanta Patch.

He didn't start out out with the intention of franchising, he said. But he didn't want to simply sell the location and lose the legacy and loyalty that he'd built up for nearly two years.

"It's meant to be run as a mom and pop, he said. "It's not something for an absentee owner to be running."

Brounstein, who is willing to finance the deal with the right investor, said he has no plans to franchise Grindhouse beyond this one.
