APS Zone 6 Inspector Patrick Apoian was recently hit by a car driven by a suspect he was questioning. While the department will pay for his medical leave and hospital bills he and his family need help to replace the lost income they will suffer from his extra part-time job. In addition to his regular beat, Officer Pat patrols neighborhoods to provide additional security to the Zone 6 community.
Two fundraisers will take place tonight for Officer Pat. The Universal Joint and Steinbeck's (659 East Lake Drive, Decatur), both in Oakhurst Village, will donate 15% of total sales to Officer Pat and his family. The Basement (1245 Glenwood Avenue) will also donate proceeds from tonight. So come out and enjoy good food, drink and the company of neighbors while contributing to a great cause.
