East Atlanta Community Association To Meet Feb. 14 At 7 p.m.

Presentation on 1078 Moreland Ave. storage project among items on the agenda.

The East Atlanta Community Association will meet at 7 p.m. Feb. 14 at the Branan Towers, 1200 Glenwood Ave.

Items on the agenda include:

  • A presentation on a zoning change request for the property at 1078 Moreland Ave. SpaceMax Storage wants to build 90,000 square feet of self-storage at the property, which is just north of the East Confederate Avenue. But a portion of the land, which is now vacant, is within the city limits of the portion of Atlanta that falls in DeKalb County. The vast majority of the property is in unincorporated DeKalb. To proceed, SpaceMax Storage, which has outlets in Virginia-Highland and Midtown, has to get both a zoning and land use change variance.
  • Presentations from Burgess-Peterson Academy and the Atlanta Neighborhood Charter School
  • A liquor license application for 1580 Flat Shoals Road
  •  Update on the East Atlanta Adopt-a-Street program
