UPDATED: Police Arrest Domestic Assault Suspect

EAST ATLANTA – Atlanta police arrested a man Thursday wanted on a stolen car and domestic dispute charge from College Park.

Gregory Ramsey, 23, was arrested after leading police on a brief chase, following a call about a stolen vehicle/armed person in the 700 bock of Eloise Court SE in Grant Park.

When an officer spotted the vehicle, Ramsey allegedly fled the scene and crashed it into a utility pole near Woodland and Moreland avenues.

Ramsey then allegedly ran down Moreland Avenue and broke into the crawl space of a property in the 600 block of the street.

The incident sparked a blockade of several side streets off Moreland’s east side in the morning rush hour as officers looked for him on foot and while the police helicopter circled overhead.

When they found Ramsey, he was arrested without incident.
