Martha Brown United Methodist To Host Community Worship Arts Night

Music, dance and art lovers all invited for an evening of personal expression and worship.

Arts lovers are invited to participate in a night of artistic expression at in East Atlanta May 5.

The Worship Arts Night, will feature local two metro Atlanta artists, including Janice Vancronkhite, who will paint, using the music and other artistic vibes as inspiration.

"It's a night of personal expression and worship," said Sherri Groo, who organized the event.

Groo, of Southeast Atlanta, said she wanted to create an atmosphere where people in the arts as well as arts lovers could come together celebrate the different forms of expression.

The Bethel Atlanta Band is scheduled to play during the arts night and Likesha Harris of Dance 411 will perform a liturgical dance.

The evening also will include prayer.

"I know a lot of people and I thought it would be fun to get them all together," Groo said. "It's not your typical church service."
