This event, sponsored by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion (NCCDPHP), will showcase the strategies of high school student leaders who are using Dr. King's philosophy of nonviolence to prevent violence in their schools, homes and communities. The event will also feature health education conducted by medical professionals.
