Visions and Voices of Peace

We know that to make peace a reality, we must look to the past, seeking guidance from both those events that amplified the devastating effects of violence and those people that helped pave the way for peace. Visions and Voices of Peace, an event to remember Hiroshima and Nagasaki and honor the vision of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. will be held on the 66th anniversary of the atomic bomb at Hiroshima. The event will feature a light reception, screening film clips from Hibakusha: Our Life to Live with a Q & A with director, David Rothauser, dramatic readings of firsthand accounts from children survivors of the atomic bombs done by local students, music, spoken word poetry by Alice Lovelace and Theresa Davis, a photo exhibition of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and more! Free and open to the public. For more information contact Courtney Hanson, Courtney@wand.org, 404.524.5999
