Relief Effort Debris Art

Join Dwayne Bass, creator of RUBBLOX  Sustainable Furniture, on Wednesday, Dec. 7 from 7:30 to 11:00 pm for the Relief Effort Debris Art (REDA) fundraiser and art show at The Marianna, located just above the Wrecking Bar Brewpub on Moreland Avenue. While the tornadoes that hit Jacksonville, Ala. on April 27 destroyed numerous homes, the resilient children in the area have turned a story of devastation into one of hope. With Dwayne’s guidance, the children of First Baptist Church of Williams created artwork from the remnant debris. These unique pieces, along with items from Smart Glass, Indie Peace and HJ Designs, to name a few, will be available for purchase with all proceeds going toward the Church to rebuild homes in the Jacksonville area. Raffle tickets will be sold and donations will be kindly accepted at the front door. Complimentary light bites will be provided by TWO urban licks, and $2 from the sale of each pint of beer will benefit the rejuvenation of Jacksonville, Ala.
