Possum Queen festival

Come join St Paul UMC's Golden Age Center's Possum Queen Festival! Each year a senior from the GAC & also from the Community are crowned "Possum Queen". This is a annual fundraiser for the GAC and to win, each contestant must "sell" their votes for $1 each. A BBQ lunch is offer for a nominable price. A great way to support the GAC and have a memorable time!

No possums are hurt, cooked, baked, fried, or run over during this festival...just made fun of!

The St. Paul Golden Age Center started as a mission project by St. Paul United Methodist Church in 1989. Its intention was, and still is, to provide a welcoming place for seniors in our community to gather in love and fellowship. In 1991 it became a non-profit organization which is supported mostly by fundraising activities, contributions, and grant opportunities.
