Catlanta Day at the Zoo

Catlanta, the cat artist, is doing a special scavenger hunt at Zoo Atlanta. The “kitten drops” will start at 9:30am.  Mention “Catlanta” at the front gate for $3 off general admission.

Who is Catlanta? Catlanta is our city’s found-art sensation, with a growing number of fans fascinated with Catlanta’s “kittens.” Catlanta has designed 10 signature cat art pieces with Zoo Atlanta in mind – find one of this anonymous street artist’s fabulous felines at the Zoo on August 2, and it’s yours to keep!

  • Eight “kittens” will be placed around the Zoo – get clues to their locations from Catlanta’s tweets at @cat_lanta.
  • In honor of the tiger cub’s birthday last month, two special tiger cub-inspired kittens will be part of the drop.
  • Attend the tiger training demo at 11:30am to receive clues to these exclusive kittens’ whereabouts.

The lucky finders of the tiger cub pieces also win great prizes: one for a free Tiger Cub-to Go Rare Care Package, and the other for a free Komodo dragon Wild Encounter.  Finders of these kittens can pick up their prizes at Member Services, located just outside the Zoo entrance.

Top off your day with the Lion Keeper Talk at 3:15pm.  RSVP and share your images (and see what kittens will be placed!) via our Google+ event.
