8th Regiment Band Concert

As a part of BATL commemoration of the historic Battle of Atlanta, the 8th Regiment Band will perform authentic music from the north and south with authentic instruments in authentic uniforms.

The 15-member band will be performing along the frontlines of the 1864 Battle in today's East Atlanta Village in a 90 minute concert bringing to life in a very lively way a piece of American history by representing the hundreds of military bands that were formed in the Union and Confederate Armies during the Civil War.

Events during the week of July 12-17 include: a Gala Dinner and tour of the East Lake Golf Club, a 5K run, Van and Walking Tours, a re-creation of the Frontlines with Living History Soldiers, a chance to “Meet Abe Lincoln”, Civil War to Civil Rights Living History, Author presentations and more.
