EAV = so many stellar restaurants close to home. The strut = hanging out with great neighbors and friends!
Emily LeVan September 11, 2012 at 11:40 PM
I love sitting on the front porch and watching the parade of dogs and neighbors pass by. At the STRUT we get to all hang out together and watch the parade pass by! Couldn't be better :)

What I love most about EAV is that even though we are so close to downtown we still have hawks, hummingbirds and owls hanging around. The strut combines the best the village has to offer, great local artists and musicians for the whole city to see. The community comes together to throw a great party and all of the proceeds go back into the community organizations that make our neighborhood a better place.

My favorite part is the parade itself: crazy, silly, inclusive, and diverse. My wife's favorite part is the book sale at the library...but she can't make it this year, so my back will be much happier!

I will be strutting with pride in EAV!

Love the parade and the food. Makes the strut very unique. And I love EAVs vibe...just walking around and popping into different places on a nice day

What I like most about EAV is the diversity of food and music just a short bike ride away from home. The strut wins me over with the parade and sense of community.

EAV is the best neighborhood I've ever lived in. No cookie cutters here. Everyone gets to be who they are without judgement. And just as good, we get to be around and embrace people who are different from us but awesome. The Strut is great fun all around...the parade, the music, the community, the kid's area, the crafts. Love it all.

Great food, freaks, music and shops in the EAV, The Strut 5K > an afternoon of booze, bands, parade and friends...yes.

What I love about the Strut is what I love about EAV - the diversity. The people are unique in so many ways and it's always fun getting to know new friends!

Of my 14 years in Atlanta, the last 3 have been in EAV...and these have been my happiest. I so appreciate the diversity we enjoy in our neighborhood...cultural backgrounds mingle, and all are accepted. The Strut exemplifies our multifaceted population and interests with music, food and the best people-watching in the city! This year, I'm super excited to be in the Parade...look for the gal with the pink wig! maynoles

I am an EAV resident - and I LOVE living here. The people who live and work here are friendly, fun, and interesting. I can walk to the fabulous shops, delicious restaurants, and fun bars - such a plus! East Atlanta Village is full of diverse backgrounds and yet we all come together everyday and for special events. The Strut is a blast with tons of super fun things to do, buy, and eat! Everyone should experience the EAV so come on down and check us out! :)

The eclectic mix of dive bars, gastropubs, and awesome restaurants with amazing food. When a friend from out of town visits they always say "This is NOT how I pictured Atlanta! This is so much better!" I love living in the hip alternative to Buckhead.

The Strut is my favorite event of the year! Love to showcase our fantastic neighborhood.

EAV has everything I need - restaurants, bars, coffee house, library, post office AND it's three blocks from home. I've been going to the Strut since the first one and it's a good place to mingle with neighbors and the large number of people that come from outside the community.

What I love most about EAV is all of the most awesome people who live here (the bars aren't too bad either)!

The Strut is the best day of the year. EAV is the best neighborhood in the city :D

I love East Atlanta! A place where you can just "BE" no matter who your are..who you are with..what you wear..all are simply welcome. Also very trendy restaurants, bars and patios..I absolutely love this area! And the Strut each year is just the icing on the cake!
Leah McC. September 12, 2012 at 05:23 PM
yeah, in the world too.

We love some many things about EAV, most of which are mentioned above, but what has kept us here for so many years is our neighbors; best block in the world. As for the Strut, how could you not love the parade.
Jeffrey September 12, 2012 at 06:39 PM
Before relocating to Atlanta, I was enamored with Little 5 Points. After learning my way around, EAV quickly took it's place as my favorite Atlanta neighborhood. I loved it so much that I moved here! The Strut is a wonderful representation of what I love about this place. Be seeing you on Saturday!
Randy Fullington September 12, 2012 at 06:54 PM
I just love getting out there while the weather's still warm and enjoying the most eclectic and welcoming neighborhood in Atlanta!
