Volunteer Need: African American adults, 18 years and older in zip code 30316, needed to participate in a two-hour session which includes watching a 30-minute video, a group discussion about the video, free lunch and entrance to a drawing to WIN a $30 VISA GIFT CARD!

How Often: Eduational sessions will be held on March 29, April 13 and April 27 at the East Atlanta Library.

The Museum School

Volunteer Need: Volunteers, including law enforcement, also are needed to help with the fun-filled day packed with fun, interactive activities, exercise opportunities, celebrity appearances, health information and giveaways.

Patient Companionship/Caregiver Respite Volunteer
Longleaf Hospice

Volunteer Need:

• Patient Support: Reading, talking, taking walks, writing letters, making phone calls, running errands, playing games, engaging in a special project, and building friendships.

• Caregiver Respite: Providing relief and peace of mind for the caregivers to have time to care for themselves and run errands, go to appointments, visit with friends, participate in support group meetings or attend religious services.

Overnight Chaperones for Children's Overnight Camp

City Camp at Wilderness Works

Volunteer Need: Chaperone overnight to accompany children on Saturday’s field trip. City Camp, a key project of Wilderness Works, provides economically disadvantaged children from across Atlanta overnight stays in a dormitory setting over school season weekends and longer stays during summer months.
