Volunteers Needed: Serve Summer Lunches to Children in Need

Serve the East Atlanta Patch communities by taking advantage of one of these volunteer opportunities.

Volunteer Need: Groups of at least five are needed to help out with special events happening at Zoo Atlanta.

How Often: various events throughout the year

Volunteer Need:

  • Provide and prepare lunches
  • Check and pack lunches
  • Deliver lunches directly to the children 
  • Provide enrichment activities for the kids (educational, physical, fun!)

How Often: every weekday from June 3 to August 9

 

Volunteer for Emory's Project Giving ACTS

Volunteer Need: Volunteers needed to participate in a two-hour session that includes watching a 30-minute video, a group discussion about the video. Lunch provided.

When: Educational sessions will be held on April 13 and April 27, 1-3 p.m., at the East Atlanta Library.

 

Volunteers to Care for Cats at Edgewood PETCO

Volunteer Need: Let the cats out to stretch their legs, refresh their food and water and clean their litterbox. Stay and play for a while. Interact with customers and answer their general questions.

How Often: 1.5 to 2 hours per week, a commitment of at least once a week preferred. Monday and Friday shifts needed immediately.
