Virtual Ride on the Atlanta Streetcar

DOWNTOWN — Little by little, the Atlanta Streetcar project is taking shape.

The $90 million project, which is expected to go into service next year, will create a rail route that links Old Fourth Ward to Centennial Olympic Park Downtown.

The eventual hope, from a long-term perspective, is to create a north-south route from the Brookhaven MARTA station to Fort McPherson, in addition to the east-west line, according to Central Atlanta Progress

The initial funding for the project focused on the Downtown east-west route.
