UPDATED: Owner Of Abandoned Puppy Found; Says Unable To Keep It

Black Labrador Retriever was found near East Lake Golf Course.

Update to the story: Found owner of dog, neighbor claimed him today by coming by the house. However, he does not want the dog and hopes he can find a new owner. I don't want the dog as I am not in a position right now where I can take care of it. I am holding onto the dog for a few days in hope of finding a new owner and then plan on bringing it to the Humane Society or another pet place. Any recommendations?

This pup Labador Retreiver was found in the 500 block of Daniel Avenue near the East Lake Golf Course.

Neighbors have made several attempts to locate owners of dog, which appears to have been abandoned by owner.

  • Age: Maybe 6 to 8 months
  • Behavior: Well behaved and sweet, appears to be slightly trained already.
  • He was abandoned and may have a few fleas and ticks. He's been roaming neighborhood.

If this is your dog, please contact me.

I will ask my wife in the morning. Who knows, I had a black lab mix show up on our property about 6 years ago. We already had two large dogs from the Newnan pound. I feed the dog and gave her some water, the usual thing I do when stray dogs show up - we have about 100 acres in Palmetto. The dods usually eat and drink and leave. This one did not. I put her in the front yard until my wife came home. She know has here own room INSIDE and at night when my wife is home sleeps with her.
Who knows the dog came to you for a reason. Just maybe she is there to help YOU! Tim Page tindalrich@aol.com

We spotted her last night (Thursday) just before the storm hit and chased her down May to CliftonRead More then up to Glenwood, where we think she turned into that development under construction across from the school. The storm swept in, and we lost her ... she was clearly panicked. Been back on the hunt this morning with no sign. Please call or text us at 423-653-5636 if you spot her!!!
