Poor Parched Plants. Got Water?

Relentless heat takes toll on Brownwood Park

If you've taken a walk through the south, undeveloped part of Brownwood Park, you see that it's, well, brown.

The last few rainstorms we've had in recent weeks haven't been enough to stem the tide of wilting stems. (For you home gardeners, see our story about watering policies established by DeKalb County and the city of Atlanta .)

The unrelenting heat is the obvious culprit.

And though some rain is on tap for Monday and Tuesday, the mercury is predicted to hit highs above 90 degrees Fahrenheit Sunday through Saturday.
