On March 14, students from participated in a dress rehearsal for the “Largest Walking Irish Flag” which will appear in the Atlanta St. Patrick’s Parade this Saturday, March 17 at noon. The walking flag is currently in the application process for a Guinness World Record — it is more than 4,000 square feet and will be worn by 60 GSU volunteers. The parade begins at the intersection of Ralph McGill Boulevard and Peachtree Street and will end at Five Points.
Following the parade, there will be a St. Patrick’s Day Festival at 200 Peachtree St., as well as a concert featuring Irish icon Liam O’Connor, known as the "Jimi Hendrix of the squeezebox." Get more information and tickets at the Atlanta St. Patrick's Day Parade's homepage.
