Happy Anniversary, Wrecking Bar!

Two years and counting.

LITTLE FIVE POINTS — The Wrecking Bar celebrates its second anniversary all weekend.

Two years ago, this Father's Day, owners Bob and Kristine Sandage took the old, graffiti-covered, Moreland Avenue mansion and converted it into a microbrewery and eating house must for beer aficionados and Atlanta foodies.

The celebration starts today with the bar giving out special commemorative Kölsch glasses with the Wrecking Bar logo to the first 100 people through the doors on Friday, June 14 and Saturday, June 15.

Bob Sandage, along with Neal Engleman have been mashing, boiling, fermenting and conditioning for months to release a slew of one-of-a-kind brews, which will be poured from about 30 taps.
