Why go: Great for students ages 5 – 11, the Georgia Aquarium is offering Camp H20 for this winter break, all next week. Parents: they’re out of school and why not have them learn something, instead of staying home and driving you nuts?

“MEET THE HOLIDAYS” WITH YOUR KIDS

Where/When: , 275 Centennial Park Dr., NW, Atlanta, Saturday, December 24, 12 p.m.

Why go: Geared towards children ages 8 and under, it won’t be too late to join the Imaginators for the story, “Room for a Little One: A Christmas Tale”, to learn about the birth of Jesus. After story time, kids can make wreaths.

Pricing: This event price is included with museum admission.

 

MEET PICTURE BOOK  AUTHOR & ILLUSTRATOR, MELISSA CONROY

Where/When: Little Shop of Stories, 133 E Court Square, Decatur, Thursday, December 22, 7 p.m.

Why go: Picture book author and illustrator Melissa Conroy visited Little Shop a few years back to share the absolutely adorable Poppy’s Pants with us.  She’s back in town to share her newest with us - Grandma is An Author, the sweet story of an inspiring young author and his grandmother.
