Got Finicky Kids When It Comes To Dinner?

Junk food doesn't have to be the go-to solution.

As any parent will attest, mealtime can be a challenge if there's a picky child who scoffs at eating certain foods.

But our friends at in East Atlanta Village are hosting a kid-focused dinner this evening just for those kids.

The aim: to show that peace, love and happiness at the dinner table isn't only achieved through grilled cheese sammies or Happy Meals.

Tonight's kid-centered menu will feature "Toddler Tapas" and "Bodega Baby Bites" in addition to eats for adult palates.

Agatha Achindu of Yummy Spoonfuls will be at Urban Cannibals to discuss and share samples of her locally made and sourced organic baby food. Melinda Hicks of Little Me Tea also will be there with her organic caffeine free juices for children.

The meals will have vegetarian and vegan options, too, and beverages are included.

Reservations are required for the event, which is 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. The cost is $15 per child plus one adult and $10 for every extra adult with that child. E-mail urbancannibals@yahoo.com your reservation and include how may adults and children with their ages will be in your party.
