ENJOY A SUPPERCLUB IN YOUR “BELLY”

Where/When: Sun in My Belly, 2161 College Ave., NE, Atlanta, Thursday, September 22, 7:30 p.m.

Why go: The menu and live music and only part of the fun at Sun in My Belly this week – it’s also the return of the restaurant’s Supperclubs and, you get to bring your own wine or champagne. Chef Alison Lueker kick off your night of fun by providing a complimentary specialty cocktail and “lite bites” to enjoy. Then, just sit back to take pleasure in the following menu: Appetizer: First: aromatic mussels drizzled with a lemongrass broth served with house made garlic bread, Second: quinoa stuffed grape leaves with feta + dill creama, Entrée course: roasted New York strip with sautéed Swiss chard in a sweet pot puree chimichurri, and finally, end it with an apple empanada with five spice caramel.

Why go: With acts like Anna Kramer, Band Pockets, Abby Go Go, Five Eight, Blair Crimmins & the Hookers and more, they’ll play at the Star Bar, both inside and outside in the parking lot, with additional stages at Aurora Coffee and Criminal Records. Support local music and enjoy L5P all day long at Little Five Fest.

GET A LITTLE CULTURE IN THIS WEEKEND

Where/When: , 80 Forsyth St., Atlanta, Thursday, September 22, 7:30 p.m.

Why go: Hear world-class music as the winners of the 2010 Bauru/Atlanta Piano & Vocal Competition comes to town to perform. Cleyton Pulzi, tenor  and Daniel Inamorato, piano will delight audiences at this program sponsored by the Center for Collaborative and International Arts.

THIS WON’T BE YOUR GRANDMA’S CROCKPOT COOKING CLASS

Where/When: , 45 Ivan Allen Jr. Blvd., Atlanta, Saturday, September 22, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Why go: BLT Steak’s own food expert, Chef Cyrille Holota, leads an interactive cooking class called “One Pot Cooking,” focusing on crock pot favorites.
