GET A FEEL FOR TEXTURES

Where/When: One Twelve Gallery, 112 Krog St., Suite 5, Atlanta, Tuesdays – Fridays, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Why go: As part of this current exhibit, see these paintings by Donna Johnson and Barbara Rehg through August 28th.

ARE YOU CURIOUS ABOUT THE ATLANTA BELTLINE?

Where/When: Inman Park/Reynoldstown MARTA Station, 1055 DeKalb Ave., Atlanta, Friday, July 29 and Saturday, July 30, 9:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Why go: Find out more about the Atlanta Beltline project by taking this tour through the 45 neighborhoods to be connected by the beltline.

LAUNCH PAD FINAL FRIDAYS

Where/When: Neighborhood Gallery Arts Center, 2960 Alston Dr., Atlanta, Friday, July 29, 9 p.m.

Why go: Participate in this ongoing open mic and jam session that includes poetry.

Pricing: $5

 

GET IN ON THE FIRST ANNUAL HIGHLAND BIKE SHOW

Where/When:  , 701-5 N. Highland Ave., Atlanta, Thursday, July 28, 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Why go: Do you like bikes? If so, go over to this custom bike show and competition, sponsored by Outback Bikes, SOPO, APB, Kirkwood re-Cycle, No Brakes & Fixie. Included will be raffles, a complimentary buffet, street food, draft beer, and more. Judging for “Best in Show” and “Runners Up” will begin at 7 p.m..
