Five Things Happening This Week

MON-July 9: The , 177 Estoria St. SE, seeks educators to join its teaching staff for the 2012-13 school year. GPCP, a Reggio Emilia inspired school, has campuses in Grant Park and Cabbagetown. Interested candidates should have strong communication and organization skills in addition to being caring, intuitive, and creative. Prospective candidates should have a bachelor’s degree, experience working with young children and an understanding of early childhood development. The ideal candidate will also have working knowledge of the Reggio Emilia pedagogical approach to early childhood education. — Music Through My Lens exhibit at the , 101 Auburn Ave. NE. In recognition of Hip-Hop Appreciation Week, the Auburn Avenue Research Library will host the exhibit, Music through My Lens, by critically acclaimed and former Death Row Records photographer, Simone Green. This free exhibition is a photographic journey through Green’s experience in the entertainment industry and includes an intimate behind-the-scenes look at iconic music industry superstars such as, Nate Dog, The Fat Boys, Full Force, and Snoop Dogg.

TUES-July 10: East Atlanta Community Association meeting at 7 p.m. at Branan Towers, 1200 Glenwood Ave. SE.

WED-July 11: MultiModal Passenger Terminal meeting at 6 p.m., 72 Marietta St. NW. Get first look at the alternative sites being considered for the location of the proposed MultiModal Passenger Terminal. The master development team will present a number of design sketches of potential footprints for the station and discuss the feasibility of the designs, as well as the process for terminal planning, public participation and next steps in the development process.
