Festivals Aplenty This Weekend

Kirkwood has its Spring Fling, East Atlanta holds its Beer Fest.

Two Southeast Atlanta favorites — the Kirkwood Spring Fling and the East Atlanta Beer Festival — return this weekend.

The Beer Fest, which aims to raise awareness about Village businesses and funds for local non-profits, will feature more than 220 craft beers, live entertainment and food.

Now in its 9th year, the Beer Fest runs from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. in on May 19.

Tickets are $40 each if purchased in advance, $45 the day of.

Each purchaser gets a souvenir pint glass to sample the more than 220 craft beers that will be on tap.

The Spring Fling, which is in its 10th year, aims to raise the profile of the Kirkwood neighborhood and funds for the Kirkwood Neighbors Organization, the association that advocates for the community's interests.

The Spring Fling, which runs the entire weekend at , includes live music, open-air artists' market, live music and foods.

The highlight of the Spring Fling is the tour of homes, which features a variety of styles found throughout the neighborhood.

Tickets are $20 for the tour and may be purchased at Spring Fling headquarters in Bessie Branham Park or online here.

We spotted her last night (Thursday) just before the storm hit and chased her down May to CliftonRead More then up to Glenwood, where we think she turned into that development under construction across from the school.
