Tourists, Atlantans pay tribute to slain Civil Rights leader

A steady stream of locals and visitors came to the King Center Monday, gathering in front of Freedom Hall at the Meditation Pool to pay their respects to the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

The Civil Rights leader and son of Atlanta was killed 43 years ago today, his life taken in Memphis by an assassin's bullet.
