Attempted Break-In Into Ormewood Park Home — Even with Security Cameras, A Dog And Alarm System

Homeowner issues warning about thwarted burglary

Editor's note: Atlanta Police Department spokesman Curtis Davenport tells East Atlanta Patch there have been four burglaries in Ormewood Park within the last two weeks. But none in the manner as described below.

Two young black males wearing white tee-shirts and dark athletic shorts, cut power to my home in the 800 block of Ormewood Avenue by flipping a switch (my fault for no lock, that will change
tonight).

I was home and went to check the outside box from a window
in the house. I heard them heading around to back of my home. I went to a rear window and they must have heard me as they jumped into my neighbor's yard. They proceeded out the front of that neighbor's yard down Ormewood and walked into Trestle Tree North. I telephoned 911 and the Trolley Patrol.

I am checking camera footage for better description of the two would-be burglars.

I have cameras, a security system — all battery backed-up and a dog. These guys don't care.
