Community Corner

Spyda formerly of AND 1 Is Fighting For and Giving Back to The Disabled Community...

Most people around the world remember Spyda from the AND 1 tour that aired on ESPN and others will remember him from the basketball court. In catching up Spyda we got insight to what he was currently working on since we don’t hear about AND 1 anymore.

We learned of Spyda’s passion in working with the youth about bringing awareness to bullying, obesity, mentally ill and the disabled. With all the media coverage aimed towards music artist lately, it seems they are doing a lot of apologizing (for the free marketing) but not lending a hand of to show that they really do care about the people they downgrade, but make money off of the disabled, at their expense.

For the first time Dennis “Spyda” Chism, Jr. of Spyda’s World Organization (S.W.O.) in conjunction with Sylvester Poe, Jr. the founder of “Don’t Sleep On Us Basketball” has teamed up together; bringing awareness to the disable that have a love for and want to play Basketball. The Mission for Spyda is to show the importance of the disabled being able to have fun while incorporating exercising on a daily agenda and Sylvester mission is to have fun by way of showing how the disable are able to play basketball against regular players.
