Atlanta Overdose Awareness Vigil - Saturday August 31, 7:30pm

Come join us Saturday August 31st @ 7:30pm in Piedmont Park to remember those we've needlessly lost to overdoses throughout the years. We will share stories, memories, and photos of friends, family, loved ones, and neighbors who left this world too soon and still hold a place in our hearts. EVERYONE IS WELCOME!

We will get together at the 12th Street entrance to Piedmont Park (behind the Willie's) to socialize, greet one another, and set up a memorial table at 7:30pm. We will gather at 8:00pm for a memorial service and begin the vigil around 8:15pm.

Please bring photos or anything that will help you share the memory of friends or loved ones you may have lost. If you haven't lost anyone to overdose, we'd still love to have you help us remember.

We will also talk about the current efforts to stop overdose deaths with 911 Good Samaritan laws and Naloxone Access legislation in the upcoming session of the 2014 Georgia General Assembly. A strong show of support will go a long way toward making these a reality.
