Winterize Your Garden: Prep your Plantings for the Sleepy Season Saturday, November 10, 1-3pm $15 Garden Member, $20 Non Member Get hands on Guidance from our Head Gardener Daniel Ballard as we walk and dig through the winterizing check list. Remove invasives/debris, prep soil for next season, Divide perennials now to ensure a trouble-free spring, fertilize, plant spring-blooming bulbs, and water and protect vulnerable plants from winter stress. Daniel also brings his experience as an accredited organic land care professional and a landscape/garden coach with his firm, Green Thumbs Up. 5 person minimum. Advanced registration is encouraged.

More About Oakhurst Community Garden of the Wylde Center
Established in 1997, The Oakhurst Community Garden of the Wylde Center offers a wide range of classes, programs and special events for individuals, families and youth on such topics as organic gardening, sustainable urban living, nutrition and health. Its popular youth program is one of the metro-area’s largest and offers year-round educational programs. The two on-site gardens serve as gathering spaces, wildlife habitats and demonstration gardens. To get involved, be sure to sign up for a class or become a volunteer or a member.
