 ecognized class will teach teen girls age 11 and older about the dangers
  they face from strangers\, acquaintances and dating partners.\nGirls wi
 ll learn how to be "street smart" by modifying their behavior to stay sa
 fer and recognizing dangerous situations and people. The training class 
 uses real-world video scenarios to illustrate the proper way to respond 
 to a threat.\nGirls will also learn and practice simple\, effective self
 -defense techniques that will allow them to injure and escape a much lar
 ger\, stronger attacker.\nAll participants receive a take home safety re
 source packet. Moms are welcome to attend this class with their daughter
 s at no charge.
