What can you grow in the early spring here in Metro Atlanta? Michael McLane , avid proponent of sustainable farming and local foods , will cover the basics of organic spring vegetable gardening. Participants will learn about varieties best for this season, how to prepare your soil, and when to get started. Save money, build your experience and enjoy a bountiful harvest by growing your own naturally! 5 person minimum. Advanced registration required.

More About Oakhurst Community Garden of the Wylde Center
Established in 1997, The Oakhurst Community Garden of the Wylde Center offers a wide range of classes, programs and special events for individuals, families and youth on such topics as organic gardening, sustainable urban living, nutrition and health. Its popular youth program is one of the metro-area’s largest and offers year-round educational programs. The two on-site gardens serve as gathering spaces, wildlife habitats and demonstration gardens. To get involved, be sure to sign up for a class or become a volunteer or a member.
