The Atlanta Science Tavern is hosting a planetary science symposium and party at Georgia Tech's Centergy Building to celebrate the landing later that night of the Mars Science Laboratory bearing the Curiosity Rover.

The event will be held in the Hodges Room on the 3rd floor of the Centergy Building of Georgia Tech on Fifth Avenue.  Doors open at 6:30pm.  Snacks and refreshments, including a cash bar will be available.

The symposium itself will consist of five talks on planetary science and is scheduled to conclude by midnight, when NASA/JPL streaming coverage begins.  Earliest reports of the landing will be received around 1:30am.  The party will wrap up by 3:00am.  Guests should feel free to come and go anytime you wish.
