Making Your Own Medicine: Tinctures, Teas, Tummy remedies, Taming the Cough

Sunday, February 3, 2-4pm

$35 Garden Member, $40 Non-Member

This class will focus on creating medicine for Winter and Spring transition to combat flu, cold, & cough season. Learn to make tinctures, flue remedies, cough syrup, ear infection treatment and other helpful healing recipes. Taught by Charli Vogt, RN, MN, MPH, & herbalist has a private practice in Decatur to help people be healthy in mind body and spirit. BeyondTheMeasuringCup.com. Please bring 2-3 small glass containers in which to carry home the medicine you make. 5 person Minimum and Advanced registration is required.

Established in 1997, The Oakhurst Community Garden of the Wylde Center offers a wide range of classes, programs and special events for individuals, families and youth on such topics as organic gardening, sustainable urban living, nutrition and health. Its popular youth program is one of the metro-area’s largest and offers year-round educational programs.
