DESCRIPTION:KIRKWOOD &mdash\; In a year when tax revenues continue to dec
 line\, public schools are getting by on less money. As a state authorize
 d charter school\, Ivy Preparatory Academy at Kirkwood is operating with
  just 62 cents of every dollar that most public schools receive.  That i
 s why its recent collaboration with KaBOOM! and Verint Systems\, an inte
 rnational software and services company with a regional office in Alphar
 etta\, is a perfect partnership.  KaBOOM! Is a non-profit that matches c
 ommunities in need of playgrounds with organizations that donate funding
  and volunteers for community enhancement projects.  The three groups wo
 rk hand-in-hand through an established process that results in a playgro
 und that is built in just one day. KaBOOM! Has built 2\,200 playgrounds 
 across North America. The goal\; for every child to have a playground wi
 thin walking distance.  On February 25\, more than 125 Verint employees 
 from locations across the world will join forces with parents\, teachers
 \, college students and East Atlanta community members to build the Ivy 
 Preparatory Academy dream playground\, garden and outdoor classroom.   T
 his will be a memorable event for the East Atlanta community. Verint\, K
 aBOOM! And Ivy Preparatory Academy at Kirkwood welcome everyone to come 
 enjoy the miracle of our "Playground Built in One Day".  Volunteer oppor
 tunities are available on Build Day\, Monday\, February 25th.  If intere
