Woman Shot in Friday Night Drive-By Shooting

The shooting happened around 11 p.m. on Redford Drive.

 

A woman is recovering in a local hospital after being shot several times on Friday night in a drive-by shooting, according to CBS Atlanta.

The woman was sitting on her porch on Redford Drive around 10:55 p.m. drinking a beer with a friend. She said she saw a green minivan drive by several times.

It finally stopped in front of her driveway and a passenger shot several times.

The woman was shot in her left shoulder and right thigh as she tried to run away. She was transported to a local hospital and is in stable condition.

According to witnesses, about five or six shots came from the green van before it sped away.

Atlanta Police have not made any arrests. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call the Atlanta Police Department.

I really hope that the police actually know the connection (drugs, ganges, etc) and that this is not just some random shooting of someone hanging out in front of their home. Shooting an un armed person or anyone is just plain insane and sad to me...
