Volunteers Needed: Assist with Child Development Program

Find various ways in and around East Atlanta to make a difference in the community.

 

 The Whitefoord Community Program is in need of volunteers to assist with its Child Development Program and Beyond School Hours program. The children range in ages form 6 weeks to 4 years old. Ties That Matter: Help separate and color-coordinate thousands of ties, combining just the right neckties to take to Haiti where women will make beautiful bags and dolls from them.  Volunteer schedule is flexible. Where: 2461 Peachtree Street Full details


Volunteers are needed to help Angel Hearts International Inc. handle the Shamrock ballooon in the Children’s Hospital St. Patrick’s Day Parade on March 16. The parade begins at 9 a.m. in downtown Atlanta. Full details

 

Groups of about eight to 25 volunteers, ages 8 and up, are needed throughout the year to improve the quantity and quality of community gardens in Atlanta. Activities include planting, produce collection, clean-up, plant rescues, plant shows and many other fun projects. The schedule is flexible, Monday through Saturday. Most shifts last three hours.
