Vandals Hit Dakota Blue Restaurant

Second time Grant Park eatery has been hit twice this month.

For the second time in as many weeks, vandals hit Dakota Blue, the Grant Park restaurant.

Atlanta police said Monday vandals threw a chair through the window of the restaurant. It's unclear if anything was taken.

The vandalism follows a June 16 burglary at the restaurant in which some money was taken.

The Dakota Blue incident follows several other high-profile incidents of vandalism at the Sister Louisa's Church of the Living Room and Ping Pong Emporium bar in the Sweet Auburn district earlier this month.

Last month, a group of bandits broke threw bricks through the windows of the Atlanta Police Department's own mini-precinct in Little Five Points.

It's not clear if the incidents are related, Officer Kim Jones, an APD spokeswoman, told East Atlanta Patch.

Anyone with any information is urged to call 911 or Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404.577.TIPS (8477).

I noticed The Republic on Memorial had been broken into one morning a couple of weeks ago.
