Green Stone Design, a local design/build and renovation company, has been working on a historic restoration project in Grant Park.

The home, located at 428 Woodward Ave., had been boarded up for nearly 30 years.

Green Stone, owned by Ormewood Park's own Maura and Kendall, Mitzner bought the property and has been restoring the home.

When purchased, it was full of antiques, many of which were used in the restoration. The project is just about completed and a public open house event is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 29 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Ms. Wakamo is a principal of the Red Robin Group, an Ormewood Park-based residential real estate firm.
