The 2012 Elections Race To Watch: John Lewis Vs. Michael Johnson
Qualifying ended Friday at noon and election season is in full swing.
Wednesday was the first day candidates could qualify, or sign up to run for office in local, state and federal elections. Qualifying closed on Friday, May 25 at noon.
Among the races to watch Georgia's Fifth Congressional District. Incumbent U.S. Rep. John Lewis, the black civil rights icon who is running against Michael Johnson, the former Fulton County Superior Court judge, in the Democratic primary.
The winner will face Atlanta divorce attorney Howard Stopeck, the Republican candidate.
