Summerhill Elects Officers for 2013
Among the issues to tackle: creating a development master plan for the neighborhood.
The Organized Neighbors of Summerhill elected on Monday night its slate of officers for the 2013 calendar year.
The elected leaders included:
- President: Suzanne Mitchell
- Vice-President: David Glass
- Secretary: Angela Phamm
- Treasurer: Carla Phillips (pending)
- Parliamentarian (Public Safety): Paul Salo
The neighborhood plans to tackle a lot in the upcoming year, namely creating a masterplan for the community.
East Atlanta Patch caught up with Mitchell, who will be taking over and building upon what outgoing president Josh Murtha did this year. (Murtha, who, along with his wife, just had baby, did not run again.)
A longtime Sumerhill resident and community activist, we asked Mitchell what issues are shaping up to be top priorities for the upcoming year.
