The Grant Park Conservancy is holding its annual Bring One for the Chipper reycling event on Saturday, Jan. 5.
Bring your undecorated tree to the south end of the Boulevard parking lot entrance to Grant Park between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Those trees will be ground up into mulch to be used in the park. The Conservancy, which is hopoing to surpass last year's donations of 200 trees, also is offering a 20 percent discount of the price of membership to those who drop off their tree.
If you don't have time to bring the tree to the park yourself, you can help Cub Scout Pack 688, which will pick up the tree as part of a fundraising drive.
For $10, Cub Scout Pack 688 will pick up the tree from your home to deliver it to he park. To have the Cub Souts pick up your tree, please e-mail Sylvia Davis at email@example.com to ake arrangements.
