Police Seek Information on Edgewood Vandalism
Dahlgren Street residents find tires slashed, trashcans strewn all over the street.
Atlanta police are looking for the person or persons who left a trail of destruction in the overnight hours on Dahlgren Street in Edgewood.
Police were called to Dahlgren Street's 100 block on Aug. 21 in response to the vandalism call from a resident who told officers that someone slashed her driver's side rear tire and broke the driver's door handle.
Another witness told officers he heard loud noises at 2:30 a.m. and that when he looked out of his window, he saw a man stabbimg the victim's tire and he saw a second man running south on Dahgren.
Later that morning, residents "found almost all of the trashcans on the street and been pushed over into the street," Atlanta Police Department officer John Chafee told East Atlanta Patch.
"Residents advised that a neighbor had a sizeable party," Chafee said. "Officers spoke with a resident where the party was held and he advised that they did have a party but no one that was there would have done something like this and he has had trouble himself since moving to the area."
