Police Investigate Rash of Inman Park Auto Break-Ins

Some two dozen cars were vandalized.

INMAN PARK — Atlanta police are investigating a series of auto break-ins reported Jan. 28.

Police initially responded to reports of 20 to 25 vehicles being damaged, APD spokesman Officer John Chafee said.

Some of the vandalized vehicles were at 185 Montag Circle and the others were at 870 Inman Village Parkway, he said.

Officers were able to interview 13 victims in their initial investigation, but only two reported that items were missing from their cars.

Young thugs were spotted just last week looking in cars on Sampson St and Highland in the evening. Highland Avenue has been hit pretty hard with evening car break ins of people visiting the local restaurants and bars. Locals neighborhood patrols have been beefed up.
