The Springvale Park Playground Committee is hosting its Playground Palooza Fundraiser on Friday, Sept. 21 at the Wrecking Bar's Biergarten space.

Playground Palooza is designed to raise funds for the Inman Park neighborhood's new playground for Springvale Park.

The new play area, with a construction start date of spring 2013, is expected to cost about $100,000. The Inman Park Neighborhood Association committee tasked with overseeing the project, still needs to raise about $25,000.

Advance tickets for Playground Palooza, a three-band extravaganza featuring the Squirrelheads, Bradley Cole Smith and Mike Simpson's band of Irish music players.

Tickets are $30 per person in advance and we'll hold them at the door. Same-day tickets are $40.  To purchase advance tickets, go to the playground website, www.springvaleparkplayground.org. You'll see a "MAKE A DONATION" bubble — click there and follow the prompts to pay via PayPal.

Pure, Barcelona, Inman Park Kids Dental Spot, Big Blue Sky Landscaping, Savi, Fritti, the Porter and Cameli's all have donated goods or services toward a silent auction.
