KIRKWOOD — Our Patch Pic of the Day takes us to the heart of the historic Kirkwood neighborhood where the BP station was undergoing a transformation on Thursday.

Workers were spotted putting up Valero signage around the 1989 Hosea Williams Drive station at the corner of Howard Street.

Based in San Antonio, Texas, Valero Energy Corp. is one of the country’s largest retail fuel operators and in the fourth quarter of 2012, it posted a profit of $1 billion, its best showing in seven years.

They did the same thing at what looks to have been a Texaco on Moreland and Memorial. But some idiot just drove an ice cream truck through the side of it. I have seen no coverage on it but I saw the truck inside the store!
