PARKatlanta Gives New Year's Day Reprieve
Holiday brings temporary break from metered enforcement
by Patch Staff
PARKatlanta, the city-contracted parking enforcement authority everyone loves to hate, has a gift to motorists on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.
Since there are many metered spaces and other parking restrictions in Little Five Points and Downtown, as well as New Year's festivities in those neighborhoods, please note:
On Dec. 31, PARKatlanta will support the Atlanta Police Department in the Downtown area for the annual Peach Bowl until 1 a.m., according to a news release.
On Jan. 1, there will be no metered parking enforcement.
On Jan. 2, there will be no metered enforcement. Only safety violations will be ticketed, according to the company.
