Kwanza Hall welcomes volunteers to the Year of Boulevard Fall Community Cleanup, hosted by Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
We brought our A-Team to this cleanup: Atlanta Police Department volunteers; the Rev. Jeffery Ott of Our Lady of Lourdes; and True Valley Landscaping.
Kwanza was thrilled that seniors from the Auburn Pointe community joined us for the cleanup.
Our friends at Georgia State University's Office of Civic Engagement never disappoint! Thank you, GSU Panthers!
Thanks to the City of Atlanta's Department of Public Works, street sweepers and a mowing crew made a lot of welcome noise in the Old Fourth Ward.

Residents and friends of the Old Fourth Ward met one Saturday morning recently to clean up the Boulevard corridor between Freedom Parkway and Decatur Street/DeKalb Avenue.

The Oct. 27 initiative, led by Kwanza Hall, Atlanta city councilman representing District 2, was part of his yearlong Year of Boulevard program, which looks to address the social and economic concerns facing residents on that street.
