New Year's Week Trash and Recycling Schedule
Atlanta and DeKalb County want you to know about adjustments to your solid waste collection schedule over the New Year's Day holiday.

ATLANTA
There will be no collection on Tuesday, which is New Year's Day. Pickups will be delayed by one day after the holiday for the remainder of the week. The schedule is as follows:
- Tuesday pickup will take place on Wednesday.
- Wednesday collections will occur on Thursday.
- Thursday collections will occur on Friday.
DEKALB COUNTY
- There will be no blue recyling box pickups this week.
- Monday, Dec. 31 will be a normal garbage and yard waste pickup day.
- Pickups will not take place on Tuesday, which is New Year's Day. Garbage and yard waste normally picked up on Tuesday will be collected Wednesday.
- Thursday and Friday will be normal pickup days.

DeKalb County that's two weeks straight with no recycling pick up, yet I've still had four trash pick ups in the same time period! That's no way to encourage recycling after the holidays. Ugghhh!!
